The DEADlocked Teasers

Even getting asked to Direct anything nowadays is a true honour for me and I couldn’t refuse Causeway Picture’s offer of working on the teaser trailers for their new feature film ‘DEADlocked’.  I like challenges and the teasers were going to be tough and ambitious to shoot. Mainly down to the fact that we needed city streets to be quiet and empty for the concept in mind. I also knew that I needed to hand pick a team of quality and positive individuals. Luckily enough for me, I’ve worked with some outstanding people over the last few years and picking them wasn’t going to be a problem.

Sometimes it’s all about looking beyond what you are doing at the time. Although there was no budget for the trailers, for me, Causeway Pictures were offering me something that I’ve never been offered before and which is my ultimate dream- to work on feature films. Again, it’s nice to be asked. I’m my biggest critic when it comes to my film work and sometimes you forget that there are people out there who respect you and the work that you produce. You need thick skin in the industry, particularly over here in Northern ireland where opportunities are very limited and people are fighting for the scraps. Although I’ll be away as Director of Photography on both feature films by Causeway Pictures over the next few months, Scattered Images will resume as normal. If interested, you can keep up to date with production news on the Facebook pages for both ‘Vampires vs. Leprechauns‘ and ‘DEADlocked
